Les Oiseaux du Lac Stymphale is a fashion film dedicated to Audrey Briot's research project Stymphalian Birds. It explores the influence of feathers as sensors in our environment and on the body.These conductive hybrid feathers are sensors at the crossroads of chemical processes, electronics and traditional craftsmanship. In this research, complex haptic interactions with feathers are sonifed in acoustic soundscapes.The wearers of Haute Couture dresses made of feathers of Stymphalian Birds experience the societal impacts of sensing beyond the human body with feathers.Stymphalian Birds – human-eating pets of Artemis in Greek Mythology – are said to have metallic feathers. Using their feathers as arrows, they incarnate a dangerous beauty.
